2 weeks ago, my great(and talented photographer) friend Robby Followell asked me to assist him on one of his shoots. He had been hired to photograph American Idol, Season 11 Finalist, Skylar Laine. I jumped at the chance! We Photographed Skylar in Clinton, MS, where Robby is based. It was so much fun getting to be there and photograph, but not being in charge!

My BFF & stylist sidekick Brandi Howard came along with me and styled most of the shoot. What can I say, she’s fabulous!

Thanks Robby for letting me be part! Good luck Skylar as you head off to Nashville to follow your dream!

There are no words to express my excitement over this. I wanted Skylar to win so badly last year. I loved Phillip, too, but Skylar just has “it.” How fantastic that you two worked together to create such gorgeous photos. She looks amazing and these photos are stunning. Great work, Kelly! What lighting equipment do you use? Asking because I know you’ve mentioned using pocket wizards in your bag demo vids. It’s great to see you shooting again…I love your style!
